What is a Contact Lens Exam & Fitting?
A contact lens exam is necessary to determine your contact lens prescription — which is different from your glasses prescription — and to ensure that your lenses comfortably fit on your eyes. We’ll also explore your eye health and discuss your lifestyle to see what lenses make the most sense for you.
We use advanced measurement tools like corneal topography, optical coherence tomography, and digital refraction to take detailed measurements of your eyes and determine if you have any front of eye conditions, like dry eye or keratoconus, that we need to account for. A subsequent fitting pairs you with the most comfortable contacts, which you then take home for a trial period. We’ll follow up with you to make sure your lenses are providing clear, comfortable sight!
Collaborative Patient Experience
Our doctors love educating you about your vision and eyes: we’ll explain our technology and processes to you step-by-step, so you’re never confused about what’s going on or what options you have. Since so much of good contact lens health depends on excellent hygiene, our team will teach you how to ensure that your eyes and eyelids are in tip-top shape. And no matter how well we already know you, our doctors will take the time to learn your lifestyle and make personalized recommendations.
Our Exceptional Doctors
Our caring Doctors will do their best to ensure that your contact lenses are well suited to your eyes, so you get the worry-free clarity that you deserve. We’re proud to house a team of seasoned experts who take their time to understand your eye health and lifestyle, answer your questions, and explain your options. We work with you to find lenses that satisfy your needs – that is, the type of lenses you don’t notice you’re wearing!
Cutting-Edge Technology
All our locations house a variety of technology, including digital refraction, corneal topography, and optical coherence tomography (OCT), for the most thorough contact lens exam you’ll ever have. We use our advanced diagnostics to gain a complete picture of your eye health, which is an essential part of determining contact lens suitability. These tools also map your eye so we know which lenses will work best, or how we can customize specialty lenses to fit your needs.
Vast Selection
Our eyewear selection isn’t solely limited to frames – we also have an impressive selection of contact lenses for any vision need! Whether you would benefit from specialty lenses or are looking to change your fashion game through colored contacts, we have options you’ll love. Our doctors will help you choose lenses that fit your eyes, lifestyle, and personality equally well!

Our doctors love working with children of all ages and can help kids learn to use contacts for the first time! Additionally, we offer myopia management lenses for children, to hinder the progression of their nearsightedness now for clearer vision and healthier eyes in the future. We work with your little one to create a comprehensive plan to protect their sight and get them familiar with contacts early on. We’ll show them that contacts are a convenient, easy option — with a little upkeep!
For patients with hard-to-fit eyes or unique vision needs, don’t worry: there are contact lenses here for you! If you have severe astigmatism, you will likely require a toric lens; meanwhile, our dry eye patients and those with sensitive corneas find relief with scleral lenses. Specialty contact lenses means more options to find your best fit. Even if you’ve struggled with contact lenses in the past, we likely have a style that is comfortable for you!
