Dr. Jessica Duran joined La Paz Optometric Center in 2013. A native of Tucson, Arizona, she attended The University of Arizona, where she graduated with a B.S in Business Economics. Dr. Duran earned her doctorate of optometry from Southern California College of Optometry where she graduated from in 2012. Following graduation, Dr. Duran, completed a residency at the Southern Arizona Veteran’s Affairs Healthcare system specializing in primary care, low vision, and ocular disease.
Dr. Duran is a member of the American Optometric Association and the California Optometric Association. She is certified to use diagnostic and therapeutic pharmacological agents in the detection, treatment, and management of eye diseases. Dr. Duran has a passion for the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease as well as restoring independence to those suffering from visual impairment. She has volunteered her time with multiple organizations to improve the vision of multiple children and adults worldwide; traveling to Kenya and Tanzania, as well as multiple locations across the United States.
Dr. Duran resides now resides in Orange County with her husband. She enjoys traveling, reading books, and eating at new restaurants.
